Eden Qingdao

The Source of all life

We were asked to collaborate on the exciting new Eden Qingda, the first overseas Eden Project being constructed on a disused shrimp farm on Jiazhou Bay, surrounded by the Yellow Sea.

The vision celebrates the critical role of water in the natural world, taking visitors on a journey through dramatic themed landscape zones. Interspersed with Biomes, interactive installations, theatrical performance and many other activities to educate and entertain.

We developed 10 highly detailed CGIs and a selection of animation shots, which were used in a longer edit to communicate the stage end design

Mega model

Spread over 260,000sqm, Eden Qingdao is a huge site that required us to develop an extensive and detailed 3D model, to ensure it would hold up to an animation as well as the stills.

From meandering multi-level landscaping, specific planting and trees covering the entire vast site to the many populated attractions we needed to bring to life.

Interactive installations

The Storm Forest Biome contains over 27,000sqm of planted spaces as well as a mechanical waterfall, set to become the largest indoor waterfall in the world.

Intricate work was needed to showcase the interactive nature of the installations.
